Launceston Man Stabbed in Melbourne Terror Attack
Written by Josh Agnew on November 11, 2018
58 year old Launceston man Rod Patterson, well known in the state for his humorous Autobarn TV commercials, was stabbed during the frightening knife attack on Bourke Street in Melbourne’s CBD on Friday afternoon after trying to stop the attack.
Mr Patterson was taken to the Alfred Hospital in a serious but stable condition, but is expected to make a full recovery.
The 31 year old suspect was shot by Victoria Police at the scene, and died later in Hospital.
Our thoughts are with a brave Tasmanian, Rod Patterson, his family and friends. A nicer bloke you wouldn’t meet. It’s not surprising he would step in to help others. We all wish him well.
