After closing more than THREE months ago due to COVID-19, Village Cinemas across Tasmania are expected to reopen by NEXT THURSDAY!

Village cinema sites in Launceston, Eastlands and Glenorchy are ready to fire up the projector once again, with the Hobart City site to follow suit on Thursday, June 25.

As part of Coronavirus precautions, strict social distancing will be in place indefinitely.

Every second row will be left empty and a minimum of two seats will be left empty between each group.

There will be longer intervals between screenings to allow for thorough cleaning, hand sanitiser stations will be set up, and patrons are encouraged to pre-purchase tickets and candy bar items online – all sales will be card only.

Village Entertainment CEO Kirk Edwards said “We are committed to providing our guests with a safe and healthy environment and we have been working diligently to implement a number of health and safety processes so our guests can relax and enjoy their movie-going experience.”
